Q&A

1. Who can take part in the project?
.doc-art project is open to all. International submissions are eligible. You can enter with no fee.

2. Can I use only Microsoft Word?
It's preffered. Though you can use Google Documents or something else. Feel free. You can use for your work any tool/idea to realize your concept. On the final stage convert them to .doc file and submit.

If it is .odt file I will need to convert it to .doc.
For the exhibitions it will have no importance in what text editor application you have done your work.

3. Should my work be textual or visual?
Ideally is to combine words and visuals to express your concept and idea. Let it be intercomplicity. By limited tools you can reach unexpected full-thought results.

4. How can I deliver my work to you?
There are to ways. To submit on site or by e-mail. Choose either.

5. Will all the works be shown in your on-line and off-line exhibitions?
Yes, they just need to respond to the initial rules described above. The project author reserves a right for herself to refuse in showing of hard provocative violent works.

6. Are you working on behalf of Microsoft?
Absolutely no. It's an independent project. Though if MS or someone else would like to donate for the project development I would think it over. In any case any partnership must not make harm to the artistic aim of the project.

7. How can I contact you?
By e-mail: iryna.markova@gmail.com
By Facebook: www.facebook.com/imarkova
By Twitter: www.twitter.com/irinnka

8. May I use photos or illustration produced by usual means and placed into my .doc-work?
Ideally one should use just text editor application's tools. But if photo or illustration play important part in your work (collage, for example) you can use it freely. Though a .doc-art work of a photo/illustration in A4 will be really too much.

9. I do not use MS products and prefer Open Office. May I take part in the project?
Any text editor application will be ok. The name of the project stays not on the application name but the gist of making a piece of art by the routine - text editor - tool. The document may be art.
